Introduction

I started writing on Medium about 3 years ago and had some moderate success getting monetized. Today I’ve made close to $30,000 writing on the platform which is about $10,000 per year.

Whether that’s a lot or a little, here’s the strategies that generally worked for me and why I won’t use them anymore.

It can lead to some initial success but be careful if that’s what you want your articles to be known for.

Large sums of money seems exciting. In Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, the pyramid argues that the most important need for people is safety and physiological needs.
